From One Parol to Thousands
Parols of America started during the COVID lockdown, when our auntie's beloved parol stopped working. Unable to travel home to the Philippines to replace it, we learned that her brother made parols in Pampanga—and what started as a mission to bring a few back for friends and family quickly became something much bigger.
We imported a small number of extras to sell, never expecting much to come of it. By the middle of November, every one had sold. It became clear that families across the U.S. were looking for an easier way to bring authentic Filipino Christmas traditions into their homes.
Six years later, we've sold thousands of parols and work directly with artisans in the Philippines to offer handmade parols, Christmas decorations, ornaments, and Filipino handicrafts. Through our sister company, Pinoy of America, we've expanded that mission to Filipino-inspired jewelry and keepsakes that celebrate our culture beyond the Christmas season.
